Highway 65 Blaine Interchanges - Final Business Briefing of 2026
We will be holding our final Hwy 65 Business Briefing of 2026 on Wednesday, Oct. 28th at 8 am at Blaine City Hall in the Community Room (on the first floor). This will be the last in this series for 2026, which will restart in the spring of 2027 before construction resumes.
Please join us for a cup of coffee and a discussion with the MnDOT project team. We plan to cover the following:
- Fall Closures & Wrap-Up: Expected end dates for current closures and any remaining fall traffic impacts
- Winter Operations: What to expect in the project area over the winter months, including potential cold-weather construction activity
- Spring 2027: Key construction priorities when active work resumes in the spring
- Business Feedback: Your thoughts on this year’s briefings to help us improve communication moving into next year
MnDOT is partnering with the City of Blaine and Anoka County to construct four new interchanges along Hwy 65 between 97th Avenue and 121st Avenue/Paul Parkway. This four-year project will improve safety and traffic flow, reduce congestion, provide a smoother road surface and create safer options and better connections for pedestrians and bicyclists.
